Acupuncture

An Ancient Healing modality

Leaf and Needle

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to bring the body back into balance.

Chinese medical theory is based on the idea that life is maintained by a constant flow of energy (Qi) and an interplay of the opposing energies of yin and yang in the body. Disease and pain arise when there is a lack of balance between yin and yang, or when there is a blockage in the flow of Qi.

Hair-like needles are placed in the body at specific points to rebalance a patient's energy patterns. These points act as light switches in the body, turning the energy pathways on or off depending on what the body needs.

Acupuncture needles are so fine and cause little to no discomfort. Generally, patients report feeling deeply relaxed during the treatment, and if pain is the issue, sometimes immediate relief from pain.

A series of treatments allows the body to maintain the flow of energy, and to sustain that state of positive well-being. The needles used are sterile and disposable.
