Detailed Assessment & Treatment Plan

Once your free consultation is complete, and we agree to move forward, your next step is the Intake appointment. At this appointment, I will do a detailed assesment of your symptom pattern, medical history, and other factors to determine the root cause of your issue and devise a specific plan of attack.

Active Treatment & Symptom Resolution

You'll return for once-weekly visits to ensure close support as you begin to feel the positive shifts of the therapy. We want to make sure your treatment plan is yielding the expected results:

• Regular cycles

• Peace of mind

You'll also receive acupuncture at each visit to ensure that your neuroendocrine system (the delicate connection between your nervous and hormonal systems) is re-balancing in a way that results in optimal fertility.

Transitional Care As Things Stabilize

Once we see stable improvement, we will begin to reduce the frequency of visits. This usually occurs after about 8-12 visits. Initially, you'll come every other week, then once a month for a couple of visits, then you will no longer need regular treatments.

I'll be here in case you ever want to come in for a tune-up or to address other health concerns.

Of course, MANY of my patients do wish to continue with "ongoing maintenance" and I am happy to work that out with you, should that be your wish.

Can I follow my doctors orders and treatments and still work with you?
Absolutely. In fact, acupuncture is known to enhance ART (assisted reproductive technology) treatments and can help your conventional treatments work better.

How can acupuncture work to balance my hormones?
The hormonal system is very subtle and responds to subtle shifts in nervous system signals. Acupuncture has been shown to gently redirect these signals in a way that helps the body balance itself.

Will you tell me I have to take 25 vitamin pills a day?
We always make sure our treatment plans are concise and focused on your problem. No “shotgun” approach here. 

Will I have to keep coming forever?
The vast majority of patients don’t need long-term maintenance. Once their condition is resolved, it stays that way.    

Are there side-effects?
Generally, there are no side-effects, other than occasional mild bruising (this rarely happens). There are, however, many positive side-effects including increased relaxation, better sleep, and a more positive attitude and outlook.

How long does it take to see results?
People often feel a shift after the very first treatment. Acupuncture is a very powerful way to stimulate endorphin release, which is the most powerful relaxing substance the body makes.

Will I have to keep doing treatment with you forever?
Most patients experience a complete resolution of symptoms (or solution to their problem) in 3 months. After that, many choose to come in for regular maintenance visits. But, our goal is to get you to where you no longer need treatment and will be so happy with your results you’ll send us all your friends and family.

Is natural medicine REALLY powerful enough to treat my infertility?
Natural medicine actually helps your body make more of its own medicine, which is more powerful and potent than any man-made medicine. 

Am I going to have to give up all my favorite foods forever?
The vast majority of our patients are able to eat foods they enjoy again once their healing process is complete. 

Is this going to require a big time commitment?
Actually all it takes is some very simple daily routines that take less than a few minutes a day along with once a week 30-minute visits to my office for several weeks.
